A slightly different way to approach a first surfing trip to Morocco: making Mirleft<\/strong> your base, take advantage of quieter sandy beaches to build solid fundamentals, and keep Taghazout\/Imsouane as chosen excursions on days when conditions really align?<\/p>

Taghazout & Imsouane: what I love about them\u2026 and how I approach them<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tI love the energy of Taghazout\/Tamraght: the easy access to the training beaches, the cafes just steps from the sand, the joyful buzz that motivates you to get up early. However, the perfect surf breaks attract crowds, and sometimes a beginner spends more time waiting than surfing, especially when surf schools are constantly taking over the same sandbars. Imsouane is something else entirely: when the bay breaks at high tide with a moderate swell, the surfing is almost hypnotic, and I understand why people want to experience it at least once; but these days naturally attract a lot of people, and you get the most out of the place with a targeted excursion, chosen for the ideal window of opportunity, rather than basing your entire stay there. Hence my bias: Mirleft as a base camp for more serene surfing, and Taghazout\/Imsouane for \u201csignature\u201d moments when the weather gives us a wink.\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
