Many of our travelers ask us this question!

To give you an idea, approximately 80% of our travelers are between 25 and 55 years old, with the largest concentration being in their thirties and forties. This is an average; each trip is slightly different.

We firmly believe that age is just a number! Whether you're under 25 or over 55, you're absolutely welcome on our retreats. What's important to our organization is transparency about the type of experience we offer. Our travelers come to focus on improving their surfing and having fun. Some might enjoy a beer or a cocktail at sunset and occasionally go out once or twice during the trip, but if you're looking for a place to party all week, this isn't the experience for you.

Yes. Approximately 20% of the travelers in our groups have never touched a surfboard. We're here to help you learn to surf and to help intermediate surfers progress faster.

We only open during what we believe to be the best months for waves and temperature in each of our destinations. These decisions are made based on average swell statistics and the type of surf spots at each destination.

Predicting surf conditions is a bit like predicting the weather; you can only get a good idea of what the waves will be like a few days before a surf break. Therefore, we can't guarantee that the waves will be a certain size or shape during a given week, months in advance. That said, your chances of getting quality conditions are very high, as each surf season is specifically chosen based on average surf conditions.

We choose the best surf spots in the area, depending on your level. For example, if the waves are big, we will take you to a sheltered bay or break, where the waves are smaller and the conditions safer.

Yes, everyone is welcome, and we adapt our lessons to your surfing level. At the start of each retreat, we create groups of surfers by level (beginners, intermediate, or advanced), with each group assigned a spot suited to their skill level.

You can bring your own, yes, but we have what you need for those who are sensitive to the cold and those who are less sensitive to the cold.

If you are a beginner surfer, you are not required to bring surfboards.

If you are an intermediate level surfer, you do not need to bring your boards.

There are plenty of surfboards available, and they're included in your package. Whether you want a longboard, a funboard, or a hybrid, there's a wide selection. High-performance shortboards are harder to find, but they're generally geared towards advanced surfers.

If you have "the magic surfboard" or are very specific about what you are looking for (for example, if you are looking for a 34.5 litre board with a medium rocker), you may want to consider bringing your own boards.

It depends on your preferences and the souvenirs you want to bring home.

For example, you can bring 200 to 300 euros with you and your bank cards to withdraw from ATMs at your destination.

If your retreat dates on our website are, for example, from January 4th to 11th, this includes both the arrival day (the 4th) and the departure day (the 11th). There are no surfing or activities planned for those days.

This means that on January 4th, nothing is planned except your transport to our villa. Meals will depend on our arrival time (restaurants in town or sometimes along the way).

On the last day of the retreat (January 11 in this example), only lunch is organized, as well as transport to the airport.

Unfortunately, that's not possible. Our team of surf instructors is committed to providing a comprehensive progression experience and is not available for additional lessons. Since we have 4 instructors for a maximum of 12 students, even if you only come for 2 or 3 days, for example, you will still be taking one of the 12 available spots.

Journey

To take advantage of the free shuttle included in your package, you must arrive and depart on the scheduled retreat dates. For example, if you booked a surf trip from January 4th to 11th, you must arrive on January 4th and depart on January 11th to benefit from the free shuttle. Outside of these dates, airport transportation is not included.

If you decide to arrive early at one of our destinations, the villa we work with may be able to accommodate you if there is availability (additional fees apply), or we can also advise you on the best places to visit before your surf retreat. Just write to us if you are interested.

*You can land at any time of day or night on our retreat dates, and we will send you an airport shuttle.

Agadir: is the closest airport to Mirleft, located 2.5 hours by road from Mirleft

Essaouira: located 4 hours' drive from Mirleft (A supplement will be charged for the transfer)

In most cases, our travelers find better prices for their plane tickets online than through a travel agency. Since we are unable to offer better prices than those found online, we strongly recommend Kayak.com, Skyscanner.com, and Flighthub.com for purchasing your tickets.

Applying for a visa is only necessary for stays of more than 3 months.

The euro is accepted almost everywhere. We recommend bringing between €200 and €300 and your bank cards to withdraw local currency (credit and/or debit).

The minimum age to travel alone is 18.

We accept young people aged 15, 16, and 17 who are travelling with a parent.

We recommend that our travellers obtain quality travel insurance from a recognized insurer (your insurer, your bank when you buy your plane ticket with your card, or an independent company such as Chapka insurance, Seven Corner.

You will be accompanied by experienced surf guides who know the areas visited and the surf spots very well. Furthermore, we choose very safe locations for traveler accommodations.

That said, we give our travelers the freedom to experience their trip as they wish, since we believe in exploration and travel experiences. We provide basic precautionary and safety advice which, if followed, greatly minimizes the risk of mishaps (theft, accidents, etc.).
